Why fertilise?
Plants lose mineral elements and only plants can absorb these. The organic matter allows plants to store the minerals that they need. It is therefore important to return the lost mineral elements through fertiliser.
- The fertility of the soil contributes to its stability, the maintenance of its structure and promotes its microbiological activity
- Bring the nutrients needed to grow plants
- Ensure quality production in quantity
- Compensate for losses and fill gaps
- Maintain microbial biomass

ORGANIC MATTER
They are essentially made up of plant residues at different stages of decomposition through living in the soil. They provide soil fertility and its global functioning as this organic matter (or the humus it contains) ensure water retention, soil aeration and the supply of mineral elements to plants.
Did you know?
Shredding vine shoots returns approximately 500 kg/ha of humus per year. This transformation into humus depends on the climate and burial.
USE THE APPROPRIATE QUANTITY OF FERTILISER
There are many monitoring tools available for efficiently controlling fertilisation. It all starts with a good observation of the plants: vigour, leaf symptoms, deficiencies... You can also practice soil analysis to get the most out of your soil’s characteristics. On vines, you can analyse petioles or branches. Finally, regardless of the crop, the cultural profile or the soil pit are also a solution to understand the functioning of a soil and to answer certain questions.
At KUHN, the entire range of MDS .2 fertiliser spreaders is available to help you carry out reasoned fertilization.
INCREASED CAPACITY. FLEXIBILITY AND SIMPLICITY.
With a working width of 10 to 24 m and a capacity ranging from 500 to 2000 l, you will be able to proceed with your inputs in specialised crops (vineyards, orchards, hops, vegetable crops ...) and even cereal crops. This fertiliser spreader is suitable for operations that require a lot of control and extreme precision. You can apply different types of products, and even pellets, with an ultra-slow rotating agitator. Their size has been designed to facilitate the exit at the end of the rows without damaging crops or plantations and offer the best manoeuvrability in your fields.
