Large, 15" or 19", replaceable hay cutting knives are available to best handle the material to be processed. The knives have two positions to adjust the aggressiveness of the knife angle. These vertical mixer knives are made of hardened spring steel to resist breakage from heavy bales. The back surface is hard faced for controlling wear on the top side and holding the cutting edge for the life of the knife. These knives do not require a back support in most positions, which also increases mixing efficiency.
The upper auger knives are double heat treated for durability and cutting edge life. These knives are interchangeable with older sickle section blades.
These knives are hardened for strength and long wear. They are also formed to fit with the auger flighting.
